Quiet Ripples Earrings
Vintage molded glass makes a lovely pair of earrings; the color of blue is soft and pastel, and the glass has been framed by an intricately stitched border of Czech glass beads and seed beads. Pretty, and one of a kind!
These vintage glass beads are a distinctive shape, and recognizable color of blue from the Germany Post WWII period. A lovely, serene blue! I love the ripples that give dimension to these beads. While uncommon to find, they are not rare–at least not yet–so I took the precaution while designing these earrings of not gluing anything to them. The entire bead is stitched with a surrounding bezel, and if these large beads were ever to become prized collectibles, you could take the entire thing apart! However, I hope you will love these earrings so much they will be more valuable to you as you bought them here. 🙂
Even the back of the earring has a pretty design; it serves a practical function of keeping the bead safe within the bezel (without glue) but it is also a lovely geometric pattern.
These hang at a demure length your grandmother would have approved of–a dainty 2 inches, if even that. The round ripple beads are 1 inch in diameter.
