Necklace: Vibrant Dance
A necklace with eclectic, tribal appeal, strung with colorful components such as Indonesian glass beads, African trade beads, brass heishi beads, and crystals. Colors are warm persimmon, turquoise, and light mustard.
This vibrant necklace uses diverse and colorful components such as Indonesian glass beads, African trade beads, brass heishi beads, and a few garnet colored crystals. Glass seed beads are also used, in warm colors of persimmon, turquoise, and light mustard.
The necklace fits slightly larger than a choker, and as you can see in the pictures, depending on how you lay it, you can achieve a different focal for the front of the necklace. The bronze clasp could even be featured if you like, as there is the colorful detail of silk wrapping, and a special African clay bead attached to the clasp.
This is a piece inspired by the brilliant jewelry design called Across Cultures from Janice Parsons of beadshop.com. Janice Parson’s original design was to be worn as a bracelet. I designed this piece to be worn as a necklace. However, I’ve also shown in the pictures the option for wearing it as a bracelet. We always love it when a necklace can do double duty as a wrap bracelet, so while this is an option with this piece, I did not design it for the secondary purpose. This particular length is slightly long for a double wrap bracelet unless you have a larger wrist or prefer a loose fitting bracelet. I love the look as a bracelet, but just wanted to point out that, for a small wrist it is a loose fit. Another option is that it can also be worn slightly up the arm, with extra bracelets, if you wanted it to fit a bit more snug.
Length: Necklace fits at about 16” (see here for chart of necklace lengths.)
